What is Demola?
DEMOLA Latvia is an international innovation challenge platform, under the umbrella of Riga Technical University, uniting students and leading brands of the country. Within the program, companies and organizations submit their challenges that need to be solved. Demola creates interdisciplinary, international teams of the best students who study in Latvia. During a 12-week period, students work to develop a solution to the proposed challenge. If the company buys the solution, the student team can get an additional final solution purchase fee after the end of the season on top of the monthly scholarship that is available for every student in the program.

Who can apply?
Students of all levels- bachelor, master, and doctoral level students, from any university in Latvia can apply for the program. The program lasts for 4 months, and it is divided into seasons taking place twice a year – in Spring and Fall.

Demola process
Fill the application
Students have to fill the application form that can be found on idejubanka.lv
Take your time and fill in all the information that is required from you.
Selection process
Best applicants will be invited for interviews with Demola and company members. After this event, Demola facilitators will make a final decision on team composition.
12-week intense work
Using the design thinking approach, each team will work for 12 weeks, digging deep into the given case and creating a solution for it. During this process, each team has its own facilitator from Demola and additional experts are invited if needed.
Pitch your solution
At the end of the season, you will pitch the solution your team created. Each team usually has two pitches - one during the Final Pitch event, and one in a private meeting with the company where the final results of the Demola season are presented.
